Our Structure
The Masters Games Foundation operates under a transparent, democratic governance structure aligned with global best practices for non-profit sports organisations.
The highest governing authority. Sets strategic direction, approves budgets, and oversees the Executive Committee. Elected by member federations every 4 years.
Day-to-day management, policy implementation and operational oversight. Led by the President, Secretary-General and Treasurer.
Independent experts in sports science, public health, law and sports administration who provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the Board.

A former Olympic 400m finalist and sports medicine specialist, Dr. Maseko has led the Foundation since 2022 with a focus on inclusion, health-science integration, and record participation at the 2026 World Masters Games.
Former East African Games Director. 18 years in masters athletics administration across 12 African nations.
Masters World Champion in 800m (W55). European Masters Athletics Association Board member.
Sports governance expert. Established masters sport programmes across 14 Asia-Pacific nations.
Legal and governance specialist. Overhauled Foundation statutes, IMGA compliance and anti-doping policy in 2023.
Chartered accountant and sports financier. Managed Foundation budgets exceeding $15M across three World Games cycles.
Digital transformation lead. Launched the Foundation's online registration platform serving 35 000+ athletes.
Active masters triathlete and athlete rights advocate. Ensures athlete voice is central to all Foundation decisions.
Former World Athletics technical delegate. Oversees sport programme development and federation affiliation standards.
Operations
The professional management team delivering day-to-day operations, events, and partnerships.
20 years in international sports management. Delivered the 2018 World Masters Games with record participation.
Event logistics specialist. Has coordinated venues, transport and athlete services for 8 major masters games.
Brand strategist who tripled Foundation social media reach and secured landmark broadcast partnerships in 2024.
International technical delegate for athletics and aquatics. Ensures all events meet world federation technical standards.
WADA-certified doping control officer. Maintains the Foundation's clean sport record and athlete education programme.
